Last night I had the honor of shooting a very fun wedding of two good friends of mine - Natalie Ruiz and Michael Ruiz. They had a beautiful outdoor (and mosquit-free) wedding in Edinburg, Texas.
It was quite interesting to be part of this wedding since Natalie and I went to high school together and graduated the same year. This made it extra special for us to be part of their wedding day.
Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Ruiz !!!!!!

Howdy everyone!
Sorry for the lack of blogging communication. We have been inundated with work, various projects, and getting through Hurricane Dolly.
Really quick, I want to announce that the website is getting a bit of a face lift that should launch by the 1st of August. We are going to make the website easier for visitors to navigate through, offer more information to our potential clients, and update our portfolios as well. So come back and check us out, and check to see what our new promotions are. HINT HINT... they cater to family portraits.....
And speaking of family portraits, Tony Vargas Photography has recently traveled to South Padre Island, Texas to take some very nice family portraits and very GQ senior portraits.
Both clients were both fun to work with and offered some great ideas for creativity. Thank you both for allowing Tony Vargas Photography to capture your portraits.
Enjoy.

Good Thursday Evening.
This week went by fast - but as fast as it has gone by, it is still not Friday! I was looking at my appointment book today, and besides a quick commercial shoot on Saturday, I don't have much going on for this weekend. I am just really eager to get back to my office, and spend the entire weekend editing my pics.
Take today for example. I had a lot of deadlines to meet, piles of paper work to organize, a phone that doesn't stop ringing, and about 36 emails I need to reply to. Instead of rushing home to get away from the business, I find myself rushing home, getting a nice cold soda from the refrig, and reviewing/editing pictures 15 minutes after I got home. Though this is work - I actually enjoy it. And to think of it - even after an 8-hour wedding, I still come home to start editing pictures that same night.
What I am getting to is that no matter how stressed a person gets, no matter what issues you have to deal with - looking at a photo can just make you feel good. Hey, that is why we have pictures of our friends and family in frames all around us - at home and at work.
A photo captures "that moment." And with weddings - all of "those moments" are great memories. I think about the weddings I have done in just this month - the love that was in the air, the never-ending smiles, the good times, etc. Just thinking of that leaves me in a great mood for the rest of the day.
So to wrap this up, I know a lot of family members from the Keri and Rolly wedding are very eager to see some pics. As of now, I am on sched. to post nearly 1000 photos by this weekend. But in the mean time, let me share with you some pictures from the event.
I hope these pictures help you re-live "that moment", and bring you happiness for the rest of the evening.
Enjoy,
Tony Vargas
